The astounding ring from the 1950's-1960's features a large natural sapphire weighing over 5 carats. It was certified by the GIA Laboratory as a "Heated Sapphire" whose origin is "Ceylon." The two-tiered ballerina double halo has an upper level of round diamonds and a lower tier of baguettes arranged in horizontal waves when viewed from the side. The diamonds have a massive total of nearly 5 carats. The sapphire has excellent color and clarity, and is cut in a well proportioned rounded oval. The amazing gallery of this solid 14K yellow gold ring is quite a sight to behold, all arches and tiers of waves when viewed from the side, sitting all the gems an impressive cocktail height above the finger. Lucille Ball of "I Love Lucy" fame actually appears at an awards show in the late 1960's wearing a ring that looks very similar to this one.
